I admit it, over the course of our marriage I have had my fair share of days lounging around like a bum, dressed in the comfiest largest, baggiest sweats I could find, hair greasy, no makeup, and hey we all deserve those days, just to rest, to relax from our responsibilities, but what happens when the sweats appear 5-6 days a week? What happens when feel as if our appearance doesn’t matter, we’ve already done the work, landed ourselves a prize spouse, now we can enjoy it without any effort.

Far too often I found myself in this category, my hot business man husband would walk in the door to find me in my most unattractive attire possible, with Cheetos stains covered on the sides, hair frizzy and unkempt in days, no makeup, not having showered in days, gaining pounds rapidly. He never said anything, but I could see the look in his eyes, he was disappointed in me that I had let myself go to such a level that he could no longer recognize the girl he fell in love with.

The I dress ultimately affects the way I feel about myself, while we should never have to be at our best every minute of every day, and every day of the week, we should regularly take the time to keep ourselves presentable for our lover, after all I would shun him if he were to behave or look like a slob. For such a long time weight had held me back in my desire to be more intimate with him, I had the urges, I know he did too, but I didn’t like what I saw in the mirror.

Too many of us see an excuse such as weight or appearance, and rather than fix it they ignore it and suffer with the consequences of self-pity or poor abilities in bed, rather than put in time and effort to overcome it. Over the last year I have dedicated myself to slimming down, not only for my hunk of a man, but for myself, so that I can be confident in who I am, and act on my urges rather than hide behind my body.

In doing so I have discovered a whole new level of self-confidence, not only does my boy toy love the changes, but I love them too! Recently I’ve been lingerie shopping, adding a variety of outfits to seduce him with, additionally I’ve been practicing at home on my own how to perform a strip tease and lap dance, the looks he gives me is enough to stroke my ego for a lifetime! I hope and pray we don’t take our loved ones for granted as I have, they have chosen to love us, to embrace us, to be with us forever, make the choice to love them back, choose them every day by making them fall in love with you all over again, surprise them, keep care of yourself, and both sides will feel the rewards that come.
